Plant Stems Your textbook describes various types of stems, but there are many varieties, and those in parasitic plants can be very highly modified. Visit "The Parasitic Plant Connection" and once there, scroll down to " Lists: Orders, Families and Genera." Under that click on either the heading "Santalales" or "Parasites of Dubious Affinity". Under these two headings, examine some of the plants in the photos (you might want to select photos whose descriptions mention stems). Some of these have more or less ordinary stems, others are very unusual.
